Learn my secrets to crafting a powerful pitch document that dazzles.

  • Do you have an original series idea, and need a short pitch document that sells?
  • Would you like to try to attract funding, or talent for your project before committing to writing a pilot script?

Examine the key elements necessary for a television, or webseries pitch document to ensure that you dazzle your reader. A powerful pitch will help you gain traction, interest and funding for your project, before you write the pilot script.

Learn how to write a logline with impact; a synopsis that compels the reader. Discuss the flawed protagonist; and ensure that flaw is at the heart of the series. Understand the concept of the ‘two premise’ television series. Fine tune your unique selling point and nail your passion statement. Explore clever plotting shortcuts to indicate your series has a powerful story engine.

During the first session, you’ll learn the skills you need and examine existing documents with impact.

Homework: You will implement and apply these concepts, and deliver your 2 page pitch document to the lecturer to receive one-on-one individual feedback sessions arranged separately.

Learn from an industry professional who’s created an original series in the UK, had her original concepts optioned several times, and pitched countless bibles throughout her career.
